Which form of CBD to choose and why?

CBD Pure Extract premium CBD webshop quel CBD choisir et comment l'utiliser

The market is full of CBD products, but how do you choose? It all depends on what you want to use it for and what effects you want. Here are some tips to help you find the right product for you.

CBD products can be found in many different forms: oils, cosmetics, bath balls, flowers, resins, capsules, candies, CBD crystals... Each of these will provide you with the therapeutic benefits of CBD. The easiest products to use and within reach of everyone are oils and cosmetics. We often recommend oils for first time users.

Some criteria to consider in order to make the right choice:

Origin:

When choosing your product, always make sure you know where it comes from to ensure that it is of good quality.

Pure Extract CBDoils, flowers and resins are sourced from an organic hemp farm grown without pesticides or herbicides in Colorado, USA. While the hemp-based food products are 100% French and come from an organic and environmentally friendly farm based in Brittany.

Pay attention to the method of extraction of the oils:

The method used to extract CBD from the cannabis plant is extremely important. The quality of the product depends on it. Carbon dioxide (CO2 ) extraction is by far the most optimal and preferred method for making CBD products. It ensures the quality and purity of the extracts. This technique allows high concentrations of CBD to be obtained while retaining a range of other cannabinoids such as CBN, CBG, CBC, terpenes and flavonoids. This allows the full benefit of the so-called entourage effect.

The basis for oil blends

CBD oil mixed with hemp seed oil is a great option. Hemp is a superfood that provides many benefits to the body. Products containing hemp will be rated higher than a CBD oil that uses MCT, a neutral coconut-based blend with no additional nutrient inputs.

Products galore, which one to choose?

As you can see, there is something for everyone, in all shapes and forms, and with different delivery methods. The trick is to know which method of administration suits you best.

CBD is a fat-soluble molecule, which means that it dissolves well in fat. To fully benefit from its effects, it is therefore better to mix it with products with a high fat content such as oil, butter, soya milk or other. This is why you can find many CBD products already mixed with oils, creams, water-soluble CBD oil capsules, for example.

The oils: what is the difference between Broad Spectrum, Full Spectrum and pure oils?

The market for CBD oils has exploded and there are so many different types and concentration percentages that it is hard to know where to start.

The term Broad spectrum means that it is a broad spectrum oil that results from a complete extraction of the hemp plant: flowers, leaves, seeds and stems. In contrast to full spectrum oils, Broad Spectrum oils have an additional step to remove the THC. Broad Spectrum therefore allows you to benefit from the synergy achieved by the different components of hemp, i.e. the presence of other cannabinoids (CBN, CBG, CBC), terpenes and flavonoids. This is to amplify the benefits of cannabinoids on the body. In addition to this, CBD Pure Extract dilutes its CBD extraction in organic hemp oil rich in omega-6 and 9 for optimal use.

You can also find pure CBD oils. This means that these oils have a high concentration of CBD. These are products where the CBD has been isolated from all other forms of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other plant material during the extraction process, hence the term 'pure'. Pure Extract CBD offers pure oils consisting of 99.9% CBD diluted in hemp oil.

So which one is best? There is no such thing as a good or bad oil, it all depends on your needs, the desired effects and possibly your tolerance to the different cannabinoids. To get the most out of CBD, it is recommended to use Broad spectrum oil, which is the one most used by people suffering from certain diseases to relieve their pain.

Flowers, resins and their characteristics

There is a wide range of flower and resin flavours. Each one has its own characteristics, different tastes, smells and effects. You can choose flowers or resins according to your needs and desired taste. Some are better known for their energizing power, others for their relaxing and anti-inflammatory effects for example.

The flower and resin varieties are the result of extensive selection and cross-breeding by expert cannabis growers to produce hybrids with a high CBD content. Those sold on the market must comply with European law by containing less than 0.2% THC. To be sure, always make sure you know where your products come from.

CBD Pure Extract selects its CBD flowers and resins with the utmost care. They are organically grown in Europe from Cannabis Sativa L. without pesticides and comply with European law by containing less than 0.2% THC.

CBD cosmetics

Following the discovery of the positive effects of CBD not only on the organism in vitro, it was found that it also offers a multitude of virtues on the skin. Cosmetic products based on CBD combined with other elements (hemp oil, essential and natural oils) have numerous benefits for the body both internally and externally. In this category, the choice is wide: lotions, oils, balms, masks, bath bombs, creams, soaps, etc.

Pure Extract CBDbath bombs are infused with water soluble CBD. The bath bombs are composed of essential oils and Epsom salt, each product is known for its relaxing properties.

Capsules or softgels

If you don't like the taste of oil, it is also possible to consume CBD in capsule form. The capsules are very simple to consume. Take one capsule with a glass of water three times a day, morning, noon and night. It does not matter whether you take it with a meal or not, it will not affect the effectiveness of the softgel.

The CBD used in the capsules also comes from the hemp plant, along with its terpenes and other cannabinoids to take advantage of the entourage effect that enhances the effectiveness of CBD. There are also capsules with other ingredients such as acerola, herbs, curcumin and melatonin.

Pure Extract CBD offers a range of softgels created with water soluble Broad Spectrum CBD, flavonoids and a broad terpene profile naturally present to ensure the surrounding effect. This gives you maximum cannabinoid content and associated benefits. One of the products we offer is a Softgel containing melatonin. The presence of melatonin, also known as the sleep hormone, helps regulate many hormonal secretions. It is the hormone of well-being, relaxation and especially of deep and restful sleep. It allows the body to regenerate itself at night, by accessing several important sleep phases, necessary for the complete regeneration of the organism. It is an excellent hormone for combating chronic and nervous fatigue.

What percentage to choose?

The percentage can be associated with the "potency" of the product. A product containing 30% CBD will be three times more potent than one containing 10%. The desired potency will vary depending on your need, experience and weight. If you are using CBD for the first time, it is recommended to start with a low percentage.

The quantity and percentage of CBD to be taken varies from one person to another, depending on their sensitivities and the problems they are facing at the time (sluggishness, pain, insomnia...).
